Inserting Silverlight Video
Now you’ll add Silverlight Video to your video.html page

1. Double-click the video.html page in the Folder List.
2. Click in the empty paragraph section below the heading. This is where you’ll be adding your video.
3. Choose Insert > Media > Silverlight Video. In the Select a Video window that appears, locate the Earth.wmv file in the root folder and select it. Click Open and the Insert Silverlight Video window appears.
   
   
   
   
   
4. Click the template menu and choose the Clean template and note that your video player skin changes. Expression Web 3 integrates with Expression Encoder to provide different video player skins to wrap around your video.
5. Click Encode and the video will be added to your page. Encoding web video often takes a few moments so be patient! Again, when asked if you want to overwrite ‘silveright.js,’ press yes. This file exists because of the Silverlight navigation added earlier.
6. When the file is done encoding, click once to confirm it is in the right location. Again, like the Silverlight header, this is a white placeholder.
7. Save your file and then press F12 to see the page in the browser.
8. The video has been wrapped within Silverlight controls. Test these to see how you can pause, play and seek through your video. (There is no sound in this file so you cannot test the volume).
9. When done testing the features, close the browser.

Inserting Deep Zoom Content
Now you’ll use a similar method to add deep zoom content to your gallery.html page. Deep Zoom is a technology that produces either Silverlight or Ajax content that displays images within a fixed area within a web page. Users can pan and zoom within high-resolution images inside this area.

1. Double-click the gallery.html file to open it. Click below the Our Gallery heading in the empty paragraph below.
2. Choose Insert > Media > Deep Zoom. Double-click the books project folder in the 01_SuperPreview_identifying_layout_problems folder, then navigate through the following directories DeepZoomProjectWeb > ClientBin > GeneratedImages and select the dzc_output file. Then click Open.\
   
   
   
   
   
3. The Insert Deep Zoom window appears. Make sure Silverlight Only is selected and then click OK. After a few moments, the file is added. Again, click Yes, when asked to overwrite the Silverlight.JS file.
4. Save your page and then press F5 to preview your page in the browser.
5. If you are using a mouse, try scrolling in and out of the Deep Zoom image and clicking and dragging around to navigate the high resolution composition. When done, close the browser.

Conclusion
As you have seen, adding rich media content such as SIlverlight, video and Deep Zoom is very simple with Expression Web 3. If you look at the Folder list you will see several folders that did not exist when you started. Whenever you insert media, Expression web copies the file into your local site.

1. In the Folder list, click the arrow to the left of the deepzooms, silverlight and silverlightvideos folders to see the content within.
